Bhopal (Hindustan Times). A case was registered against two Congress leaders on Sunday for allegedly raising slogans of Pakistan Zindabad during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal’s Crime Branch Thana police registered an FIR against MP Congress media department’s Piyush Babele and Congress IT cell chief Abhay Tiwari on the complaint of BJP spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi.
The issue of raising slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is heating up. In Chhattisgarh, a case was registered against MP BJP’s media in-charge Lokendra Parashar on Saturday regarding this. After this, on the complaint of BJP’s state spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi in Bhopal, a case has been registered against the Congress leaders under sections including breaking national unity, inciting riots, breach of peace and criminal conspiracy. In this, Abhay Tiwari and Piyush Babele, president of the state Congress’s social media department, have been made accused.
In fact, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Khandwa’s Dhangaon, a video with the controversial slogan came to the fore. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan raised questions on Rahul Gandhi’s visit regarding this and said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. While the Congress had asked the BJP to take legal action, accusing the BJP of defaming the yatra by releasing a fake video.
After this, an FIR was lodged in Chhattisgarh against the state BJP’s media in-charge Lokendra Parashar. On Sunday, BJP leaders reached the Crime Branch office in Bhopal and filed an application against Congress leaders Abhay Tiwari and Piyush Babele and an FIR was registered after some time.
According to Crime Branch, Pankaj Chaturvedi has told in the complaint application that anti-national acts are being carried out all over India by Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Kamal Nath and the entire Congress party under the guise of Bharat Jodo Yatra. Objectionable slogans are being raised during the yatra. This can disturb the peace in the country. Bharat Jodo Yatra aims to unite India and strengthen the country, but a criminal act is being done in the name of Yatra. This thing came to the fore in village Dhangaon of Khandwa district when controversial slogans were raised during the yatra. This exposed the real face of Congress. The Congress itself made the video and tweeted it on November 25 at 8.52 am from the official Twitter handle of the party. Piyush Babele, associated with the party’s media department, posted the video on internet media and later it was removed.
It is clear from this incident that crimes of treason, inciting riots, breach of peace are being committed in Bharat Jodo Yatra. On the other hand, KK Mishra, President of the Media Department of the State Congress, said that the level of thinking of BJP ideology is clear from the sections imposed against senior journalist Piyush Babele. He is not a Congress office bearer. The party stands with them with full force.
Bhopal Crime Branch’s Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Kumar said that following the complaint, an FIR has been lodged against two Congress leaders Abhay Tiwari and Piyush Babele.
FIR was lodged against Congress leaders under these sections
– 153B – Giving speeches having an effect against national unity or saying things like slander.
Section 504: Knowingly uttering offensive words with intent to provoke breach of the peace.
– 505(1) – Inciting one class or community to commit an offense against another class or community.
– 505(2) – Spreading false statements etc. with intent to create feelings of enmity, hatred and ill-will between different communities.

On the other hand, an FIR has been registered under Section 153B and Section 188 against unknown people for raising controversial slogans in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra at Sanavad police station in Khargone. On the basis of the video, the police is probing the matter.
