On the fifth day of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi addressed the meeting at Rajbada, Indore.

On the fifth day of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh late on Sunday evening, Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh’s financial capital Indore, lashed out at the central government on the issue of demonetisation and GST. Raising the issues related to traders and them, he said that these two policies have done the work which the Chinese army could not do.
Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Mhow on the fifth day on Sunday and reached Indore late in the evening. Here he garlanded the picture of mother Ahilya Bai Holkar on the stage here. Many leaders including former CM Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh, state in-charge JP Aggarwal, KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh were present on the stage. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is on its 5th day in MP.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi said that small traders and farmers are the backbone of employment. These people give employment to the youth. The government strangulated small traders by ending their cash flow with demonetisation and GST. Both these policies weakened the country. The farmer did not benefit from demonetisation and GST. Only two or three people have benefited from this. Demonetisation and GST have caused the biggest loss to the country. Demonetisation and GST have done the work which the Chinese army could not do.
Targeting the government on the issue of inflation, he said that during the UPA government, the rate of gas cylinder was Rs 400, today a third hand is needed to tell the rate. The rate of petrol was Rs 50, today it is Rs 107. He said that today our journey lasted for 8 hours on the roads of Indore. I looked around for 8 hours. I didn’t see any garbage here. Thanks to the people of Indore and the cleaning staff for this. I want that the biggest airport of India should be in Indore. It became the biggest logistic hub of the country. Rahul Gandhi gave the example of Chicago in America.
He said that we are not alone on this journey, the entire people of India are involved in this journey. I did not find hatred anywhere in this journey. It includes people of all classes. This journey is the journey of your ideology. He told the purpose of starting this journey. He explained why we had to start this journey. He said that whenever he talked about raising his voice in the Parliament, our mike was turned off. Whether it was demonetisation or any other issue, we were not allowed to speak. There we tried but failed, then I talked about raising public issues in front of my media friends. He also mentioned about the formation of Congress government in Madhya Pradesh and expressed his gratitude for the public support received in Indore.
Sunday is the fifth day of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh. The yatra left Mhow at 6 am, reaching its first stop at Rau around 9.45 am. Here the journey stopped for lunch break. Earlier, Rahul had taken a tea break by stopping at Mamaji’s dhaba. On reaching Rau, Rahul Gandhi also fired a bullet.
