Once the bridge was stolen in broad daylight, then after selling the vintage meter gauge steam engine in Purnia, now the case of stealing 16 engine parts worth 30 crores by making a tunnel till the yard in Bihar has come to the fore. In Bihar’s Begusarai, thieves stole the engine by making a tunnel. Thieves got rid of the entire diesel engine parts of the train brought for repair at Garhara yard here. It is being told about this shocking theft that a bad engine is installed in Gadhara railway yard near Barauni. After this, he used to steal the copper wire and aluminum parts fitted in the faulty engine and sell them to different scrap dealers in the district.
After the matter came to the fore, now the Railway Police has registered the case and started investigation. The police have now arrested three thieves from the surrounding areas of Gadhara. The thieves were giving the incident of theft by making a tunnel near the yard. They used to come from inside this to steal and carry the parts of the train engine in sacks.
The mastermind of thieves fled to Nepal!
After interrogating the leader of this gang, Chandan Kumar, after the arrest, the police raided the scrap godown of Manohar Lal Sah of Prabhat Nagar Colony, Muzaffarpur and recovered 13 bags of railway engine parts. It is being told that the cost of each engine is about 2 crores, the parts of which were stolen by thieves. Thieves have sold parts of 16 engines worth about 30 crores. Now only the structure of these engines is left in Gadhara yard. Manohar Sah is the kingpin of this unique theft incident. The one who is absconding is feared to have fled to Nepal.
Sold Vintage Meter Gauge Steam Engine
