Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday that Delhi Police and prosecution shraddha walker In the murder case, we will ensure strict punishment for the accused in the shortest possible time. Shah said that there is no lack of coordination between Delhi and Mumbai Police. The Home Minister said, ‘But the letter that has come out, Delhi Police has no role in it. Shraddha had sent a letter to a police station in Maharashtra that threats were being made to dismember her body and kill her. No action was taken there. There it will be investigated. At that time we did not have a government. Whoever is responsible, strict action will be taken.
Accused Aftab had cut Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces.
Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar on Wednesday questioned the alleged failure of the Maharashtra Police to act on a letter written by call center employee Shraddha Walkar in November 2020. Walkar had written in the letter that his live-in partner Aftab Poonawalla had tried to kill him. Poonawalla had allegedly killed his live-in partner Walkar (27) and cut her body into 35 pieces.
It is alleged that Poonawalla kept these pieces in a 300-litre fridge for about three weeks at his home in Mehrauli, South Delhi. He kept going for several days at midnight to throw them in different areas of the city. He was arrested by the Delhi Police on 19 November.
Love-Jihad also implicated in Shraddha Walkar murder case- CM Sarma
At the same time, in the same program, Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that there was an element of ‘love-jihad’ in the murder of Shraddha Walkar. Responding to questions about his raising the issue of the Walker murder case during the election campaign and demanding stringent laws to stop ‘love-jihad’, Sarma said the matter was related to women’s safety and it involved ‘ There is also a ‘put of love-jihad’.
