Congress did not respect tribals – PM Modi

Addressing a public meeting in Netrang, a tribal area of Bharuch district in Gujarat, Modi also said that the whole world is amazed at how India was able to deal with such a huge pandemic of Kovid-19 in such a short time.
He said, Congress has no respect for the tribals of the country. We decided to make our tribal daughter (Draupadi Murmu) the President of the country. We went to the Congress with folded hands (to support his candidature), but they resisted. We gave all our strength to make the tribal daughter win the election.
He alleged, be it Birsa Munda or Govind Guru, the Congress did not give respect to the tribal leaders of the country. The Prime Minister said that the outbreak of the Kovid-19 epidemic in a big country like India was terrible. Modi said, the whole world faced this terrible epidemic. If someone falls ill at our house, it takes us four to five years to come out of it (from the financial impact). We faced a pandemic in such a big country. But, the way we came out surprised the whole world. They can’t understand how this happened.
The Prime Minister said, factories were closed, people had to go back to their villages. In such circumstances, our first concern was that there should be enough food for the poor, the child of a poor person should not sleep without food. That’s why we are providing free ration to 80 crore people for the last three years.
