Jammu and Kashmir Former Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti Has attacked the BJP-led government at the Centre. He accused the government of ‘destroying’ the Constitution. He said that Kashmir is linked to India through its constitution, but you (BJP) destroyed the constitution. This statement of Mehbooba Mufti has come when within 24 hours she was given a notice to vacate the government bungalow. She had got a government accommodation in Anantnag, where she had been living for many years.
PDP chief Mufti said that BJP has destroyed the constitution. Presumably, he has done this attack on the decision of the central government to abolish Article 370 and divide a state into two union territories. He said, “India does not belong to the BJP. Till the time you do not resolve the Kashmir issue, you will not see any result, no matter how many troops you send here.
Seven including Mehbooba Mufti notice to vacate the house
Former chief minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and seven former legislators have been asked by authorities in Jammu and Kashmir to vacate government quarters in Khanbal area, a housing colony in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. According to Jammu and Kashmir’s news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mehbooba Mufti and three other former MLAs were served eviction notices by the Executive Magistrate of Anantnag on Saturday on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag.
Among the former MLAs named in the notice are Mohammad Altaf Wani, Abdul Rahim Rather, Abdul Majeed Bhat and those living in government quarter numbers 1, 4, 6 and 7 of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have been asked to vacate. They were instructed to vacate within 24 hours.
Action will be taken if not vacated
Apart from these, others who have been asked to vacate the government quarters include former MLA Altaf Shah alias Kalo, former MLC Bashir Shah alias Veeri, former MLC Chaudhary Nizamuddin, former MLA Abdul Kabir Pathan and MC councilor Sheikh Mohiuddin. Not only this, if these people do not vacate the house within the stipulated time, then it has been warned that legal action can also be taken against them.
