The CBI has repeatedly called the former state education minister and those caught in the recruitment corruption case as ‘conspirators’. On Monday also, he used this word in protest against the bail, in view of which the CBI lawyer clarified the question of the court. Parth’s lawyer Salim Rehman questioned that his client’s name was not there in the FIR in the recruitment corruption case. That’s why he should be given bail. On the other hand, the CBI has termed former education minister Parth as the ‘mastermind’ of the teacher recruitment corruption case. In this context, the question of Parth’s lawyer is that for how long will his client have to be kept in custody like this in the name of investigation? He also claimed that there has been no progress in the CBI probe. In the words of the lawyer, “the central agencies are not doing everything right.”
The lawyer of the accused asked the CBI – how long will they remain in jail
On the other hand, Sanjay Dasgupta, counsel for former SSC advisory committee head Sanjay Dasgupta, claimed in the court that the investigators are still at a ‘critical stage’ of the investigation even after the relevant charge sheet has been submitted. There is talk of a ‘grand conspiracy’. It is said that many more people are involved in this matter. After his question, “Will these accused remain in jail until all the accused are identified?” After this, the legal debate of the lawyers of both the sides started. The CBI’s counsel said that the chargesheet and custody have already been discussed. However, the judge stopped him. After this, the lawyer of Kalyanmoy Gangopadhyay, former chairman of the Madhya Shiksha Parishad, applied for bail for his client. Kalyanmoy argues that his name figures in only one paragraph of the FIR. Citing his age-related ailments, he sought bail on any condition. Said, “I was not associated with SSC.”
CBI told teachers recruitment scam was pre-planned
Earlier, the Central Bureau of Investigation opposed the bail of Parth and Kalyanmay. Facing the court’s questions, the CBI again termed the corruption as a ‘well-planned conspiracy’ and sought dismissal of the bail plea. He claims that not only Parth, Kalyanmoy and others, there are other ‘conspirators’ in the recruitment corruption case. If caught, they cannot be given bail. Non-cooperation was demanded in the investigation against Parth on Monday as well. It was said that if he gets bail, there will be a danger of loss of testimony and evidence. The CBI claims that the entire recruitment scam was ‘well-planned’. In his words, “One person has been removed from the post and another person has been brought into that position. Somebody has been forced to resign.” Even the CBI alleged that the accused had played their part in the corruption case as per the plan.
