Oil Free Samosa Recipe: Samosa is one of the most loved Indian snacks. It is deep fried with a coating of flour, potato and vegetable masala inside. Samosa Ingredients
Flour: 2 cups
Oil: 2 tbsp
Water: ¾ cup
Salt: ¼ tsp
For filling of samosa
2 Potatoes: Boiled
Oil (1 tbsp for air fryer): 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
Red chili powder: 1 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp
Peas: 1 cup
Coriander: 1 tsp chopped
How to make samosa (Samosa banane ki vidhi)
To make samosa, first of all prepare potato masala.
For this you have to boil the potatoes.
Once the potatoes are boiled, drain the water and then peel them.
Then mash the potatoes well with a spatula or masher.
Now take a pan and put 1 tbsp oil in it and let it get hot.
Then add mashed potatoes, salt, black pepper, turmeric and red chili powder to it.
Now cook the potatoes for 2 to 3 minutes and add boiled peas to it and cook for about 1 minute.
After this, turn off the gas and keep it aside after adding finely chopped coriander.
After this, knead the dough for samosas.
For this, add all purpose flour, salt, 1 tablespoon oil in a bowl and mix it well.
Now add water slowly and knead a tight dough and cover it at least and keep it for 15 to 20 minutes.
Now for making samosa, take a small ball of refined flour and dust it with dry flour and make an oval shaped long roti.
Then divide it into two pieces from the middle.
After this, now apply the flour and water solution on one edge, put stuffing in the middle and make a cone out of it and seal it with the flour and water solution and give it the shape of a samosa.
Actually, to make samosas without oil, you can make it in an air fryer.
For this, preheat the air fryer at 180 to 200 degree centigrade for 5 minutes.
Now brush some oil on the samosas and cook it in air fryer in small batches for 8 to 10 minutes.
Keep in mind that if you do not have an air fryer, you can also bake the samosa in the oven.
To make samosa in the oven, preheat the oven at 200 degree centigrade for 5 minutes.
Then place the samosas in it and bake for 25 minutes.
Take the samosa without oil is ready.
